Laura Taylor
Senior Account Manager
Thanks to a wonderful Yorkshire business owner, the beginning of my marketing and advertising career actually happened by chance! 23 years ago, I was fresh out of university with a surface pattern and textiles degree under my belt, ready for someone to take me under their fin and welcome me into the wonderful world of marketing.
Over the years, I have worked my way up through the ranks and progressed my own way through fully integrated agencies and specialist branding businesses. I’ve been responsible for high-level project & account management, working closely with senior management teams across a range of sectors from Retail, FMCG, Lifestyle, Fitness and Leisure, to Financial Services and Location Branding.
I’m incredibly proud of the portfolio of brands I’ve worked on, many of which are large corporate businesses. There are far too many to list, but some of my favourites to highlight are Argos, ASDA, DFS, Graham & Brown, Greggs, Portmeirion and Xscape. Working to support such widely recognised brand names in a variety of industries has really shaped my career, provided me with unforgettable experiences, and enabled me to achieve many accomplishments over the years. Nothing beats developing wonderful creative work that I am passionate about, for clients that I admire, and I can’t wait to do the same on behalf of Fishtank.
So, after 23 years in the industry, what are my passions? I’m passionate about making a real difference to businesses and have delivered many projects throughout my career, from marketing campaigns, brand development & activation comms, photography, TV/film, radio, in-store POS, local/national press, lifestyle magazine advertising, outdoor media, and digital & social campaigns. I love it all!
“No two days have ever been the same and I’m always excited for the next new challenge.”
I’m a strong believer that an open and honest approach has enabled me to successfully build solid client connections – after all, honesty is the best policy. I’ve always worked hard to balance the requirements of the customer alongside the goals of the agencies in which I’ve worked, to deliver an outstanding customer experience.
I’m excited to dive straight into work with Fishtank, not only to share my knowledge and to maintain the smooth, efficient running of all projects but to learn more from the team about the ever-evolving digital landscape.
Life Outside Fishtank
I’m a mum to two teenagers and a three-year-old, so you can imagine my life is a whirlwind of activities and things to do to keep them all entertained.
Bucket List Best Bits
I’d love to get back on track with my first love, ‘Surface Pattern and Textile Design’; maybe a print workshop, pottery class or textiles evening class will be on the agenda for 2023.
