Brookhouse Training had been an established gas engineer training brand for many years when they approached us - ready for a new, refreshed, visual identity. They wanted the new brand and innovative new digital platform that followed, to reflect their unique approach to training gas engineers.

The Brief

James McConnell, the company MD gave us carte blanche - his only condition was that we must understand what Brookhouse do, how they impact people’s lives, what makes them stand out from competitors and translate this culture of passion into our own, visual language.

Demonstrating impact & fueling engagement

From the very beginning, we knew it was the people of Brookhouse that make their house a home. The concept of an inclusive space, a safe haven for anyone looking for new opportunities, evolved into the ‘Home of Expert Training’ tagline. Our designers utilised their conceptual home icon to create key elements of the new logo.

The Solution

The new brand design element was used throughout: representing the key business values, creating a bespoke pattern to be used on, and off-line, framing power statements, images and videos. Within the training facilities, the house icon is a foundation of the wayfinding system, reassuring and informing students at all times.

Bleeding brilliant

Digital marketing has always been important to Brookhouse, therefore the new site had to be designed with conversions in mind. Each stage of the user journey gives the audience a chance to get in touch, book their place at one of the coveted Open Mornings or request more information.

I worked with Fishtank on completely reinventing the Brookhouse brand, website and training centre. The team made the process really easy and took on board all my ideas and thoughts. It was great to have two excellent brand designs to choose from in the initial stages as I was able to take certain aspects from both designs. Fishtank were always able to answer any questions I had and were quick to respond. The team are professional and friendly and I would highly recommend using them!
