What we did
Design & illustration
We worked with Hudl to design and develop a microsite that would act as a host for the Russia 2018 World Cup statistics. The aim was to provide the user with figures on player statistics, group tables and game statistics, creating an educational resource for sports fans.
The website had to provide users with valuable insight and live coverage of interesting stats for each match simultaneously.

Sporting websites usually see a bounce rate of 52%, so we created a landing page that would engage and educate users instantly. We achieved this by creating a large hero image that encompassed the screen, educating the user from the outset. First impressions are vital and so it was critical we made an immediate impact.
We knew the majority of users would view via mobile and therefore we ensured the site was mobile optimised and easy to navigate to the live results feed.
