Just last week Fishtank had the pleasure of welcoming a temporary new addition to the team.

Supporting the initiative to close the skills gap and to interest young people in the industry, we have decided to take on a work experience student this year.

Jessica is a Year 12 3D Design student and she joined us last Monday for a duration of 1 week. During that week she supported the Account Management and Design teams by conducting research, analysing qualitative data and helping us with developing a 3D design that will eventually be 3D printed for promotional purposes (watch this space!)

Gemma Curry, our Senior Account Manager was managing Jessica’s work experience and has commented:

“It was a pleasure to have Jessica with us for a week’s placement. She helped us greatly with research, created some fantastic 3d designs and joined our client meetings. I hope we gave her a good insight in to life here at Fishtank!”

Fantastic experience for both Jessica and our team, this week has definitely been a good introduction to a new era for Fishtank… But hush, that’s the topic of our next blog post! For now, read Jessica’s review of her week in our Fishbowl:

“I spent a week at Fishtank Agency for professional placement. The whole team was very friendly, and welcoming, as soon as I walked through the door I felt like a member of the team. The environment was positive all week long which is very motivational and gave me a great insight on working life in the design sector. I am very thankful to have been handed this opportunity as I have developed and learnt many key details that will help with my studies at college and definitely with my future.”

That you for such kind words and for visiting us Jessica – we wish you all the best in the future!
