The Goal
The project came through as a referral after the client had seen our work for other businesses in the Yorkshire region. Crocodile knew that their brand and website was in need of an overhaul and looked to us to manage and reinvent their identity, giving them an edge over their competitors and a digital platform that would assist their rigorous digital marketing campaigns.
The main objective of the project was the website, their site was old and dated and wasn’t built to facilitate their extensive digital marketing campaigns that generate a large proportion of their inbound leads. Because of the investment in the website, we stressed that the development of the brand identity was a necessity to ensure maximum impact and a joined-up communication approach for their customers. They advertise both online and offline and via TV, so a succinct brand identity was of huge importance to drive the business forward.

The Solution
The new brand identity was born out of the established and easily recognisable crocodile icon but with more modern use of graphic style, colour and font that would be much more easily translatable through online and offline marketing channels.
Defining objectives
Crocodile approached us with a clear need: to modernise their outdated website so it could better support their ambitious digital marketing strategy. From the outset, we focused on creating a digital platform that would not only streamline their lead generation efforts but also bring clarity and consistency to their customer-facing brand.

We reimagined Crocodile’s well-known icon with a sharper, more contemporary visual style, unifying it with bold typography and a vibrant palette. It was a risk to evolve a familiar brand mark, but doing so allowed us to retain recognition while significantly modernising its appeal.

Rather than starting from scratch, we respected the brand’s heritage by building on what customers already knew and trusted. This approach helped maintain emotional continuity with existing audiences while presenting a more polished and professional face to new ones.
Be Agile
Recognising the evolving nature of Crocodile’s multi-channel campaigns, we ensured the new identity was versatile enough to flex across all formats—from digital ads to television spots. This adaptive thinking helped future-proof the brand and gave their team the tools to respond to shifting market demands.
