The Goal

J2O wanted a fun, eye-catching campaign to launch Dragon Berry, a limited-edition summer flavour, in Tenpin’s bowling venues. The challenge was to create in-venue screen animations that were both exciting and relevant to the environment while driving instant awareness and buzz around the new flavour.

From Storyboard to Strike

Our team pitched a playful, high-energy animation that tied J2O directly into the world of bowling: a ball rolling down the lane, striking J2O bottles set up as bowling pins. To bring the idea to life, we began with storyboards that gave the Britvic team a clear sense of the sequence and flow of the animation. On feedback, we developed the concept further to emphasise kinetic energy, building in heightened speed, movement, and impact to mirror the fast-paced thrill of bowling.

Once the core idea was refined, we created a set of style frames with an illustrative look and feel, helping the client visualise exactly how the final execution would appear. By working closely with J2O’s in-house team, we integrated brand elements, including fonts, guidelines, and assets, to ensure seamless consistency across every detail. The project concluded with a suite of final exports designed for Tenpin’s various in-venue display formats, which were supported by point-of-sale materials throughout the venue to celebrate the launch in a vivid, unified way.

We avoided generic product advertising and instead pursued bold, kinetic storytelling that transformed in-venue screens into a fun and engaging experience. The playful design captured the imagination of families and younger audiences, who make up a large proportion of Tenpin’s customer base, while the iterative process allowed us to adapt quickly and refine details in collaboration with Britvic’s marketing team. This agile approach ensured the final work was not only impactful but also delivered on time with creative flair.
