For the past 40+ years, the Scottish Energy Forum (SEF) has played a crucial role in shaping energy discussions, and as Fishtank is a business that holds sustainability close to its heart, we were excited to work on a project with a like-minded company and help them bring such a meaningful discussion to life. We find it incredibly fulfilling to have the opportunity to work with clients like SEF, who mirror our dedication and values as a B Corp agency.

The Challenge

SEF reached out to us in the summer of 2024 concerning the challenges they were facing with their current brand and website. They recognised that their outdated platform was obstructing their progress as a business. With slow loading times and basic designs that did not capture all the relevant information needed, users were finding it difficult to engage with the content of the website and couldn’t quite comprehend how to become a member and what that would mean for them. The brand and website identity did not reflect the quality of the membership base or the breadth of the events, and SEF knew this needed to change if they wanted to continue bringing dedicated members in and making an impact.

To tackle these challenges, we proposed a comprehensive strategy that evaluated and evolved all areas of the brand and website. We began by modernising the brand identity, followed by redesigning the website for an enhanced user experience. Updating the layout of the website to assist with better-communicating membership benefits and promoting inclusivity to encourage broader engagement was integral to our designs. By implementing these solutions, we knew that SEF would be able to revitalise its presence and reaffirm its role as an indispensable voice in the energy sector.

The Solution

We are excited to announce that we have created a dynamic platform for SEF that proudly unites experts and professionals as they explore the diverse aspects of energy, including economic, industrial, technological, and political factors. The updated look and feel of the site and SEF’s new, ever-growing strategy, developed by our team, aim to help them develop a sustainable energy landscape for a brighter future.

Scottish Energy Forum’s updated website is also now live! Offering a more dynamic, user-friendly space designed to enhance engagement and accessibility, this is truly a transformation we’re all proud of,

Stay tuned as we continue to collaborate and embark on a journey to further rejuvenate their online presence through this energetic and accessible platform for anyone and everyone involved in the energy sector.
