Same Tank, Bigger Splash: Wild PR is merging with Fishtank Agency!

Fishtank is scaling up! We’re delighted to announce that leading Yorkshire communications agency, Wild PR, will be bringing their expertise and joining the Fishtank team.

This strategic decision sees Wild PR now operating under the Fishtank name and branding, formalising a decade-long relationship between our companies and their founders, Damien Fisher and Katrina Cliffe of Wild PR. 

A Word From the Tank 

Founded in 2008 by Damien Fisher, Fishtank Agency is a fully integrated marketing agency based in Mirfield. From the outset, we have focused on transforming brands, creating impactful digital platforms and delivering high-quality creative and development across print and digital. 

Within the first few years of operating, demand grew for design-led platforms that combined visual excellence with commercial impact, meaning we quickly found our niche and built a strong reputation working with ambitious B2B brands across a wide range of sectors.

Today, Fishtank employs more than 20+ specialists with complementary skill sets, enabling us to support both short-term and long-term marketing challenges with clarity and confidence.

We pride ourselves on being an indispensable partner rather than a supplier; our team embeds itself into businesses with genuine care, ambition, and accountability, working collaboratively to drive sustained growth and measurable return on investment. Each area of the business specialises in communicating organisations’ stories in ways that transform messaging, strengthen digital presence, and enable purposeful brands to succeed online.

Who are Wild PR? 

Wild PR was founded in 2014 by Katrina Cliffe as a freelance consultancy service, originally operating under the name KC Communications. The agency specialises in traditional and digital PR, and SEO-focused content creation to tell clients’ stories, raise brand profiles, and increase visibility.

The agency’s early years were shaped by Katrina, who launched a strategic “marketing-as-a-service” offering for clients, enabling Wild to scale to a team of nine.

Since its inception, the agency has worked with a range of clients across professional services, manufacturing, education, and B2C sectors, delivering everything from bespoke PR communications to fully outsourced marketing services, and has a strong client retention record, with existing clients having entrusted the agency for upwards of 10 years.

During its formation, Wild PR has also delivered activities to benefit the local community, such as bringing together Huddersfield Business Week, offering multiple placement opportunities to local students, and providing a significant number of apprenticeship roles, as a way to give back to the community that helped Katrina begin her own career.

More recently, Wild PR has continued to deliver a “marketing-as-a-service” offering to its clients as its primary function, backed by SEO-led PR services.

Why Did We Make This Move? 

Damien and Katrina’s initial connection began when they were both pitching to the same property management company almost 10 years ago. During this process, they discovered they had coincidentally started their careers at the same agency back in the early 2000s. This interaction led to a productive collaboration over the years, with both agencies frequently working together on numerous client projects, including three large website builds, and utilising each other’s specialised expertise as needed.

As this professional relationship continued, Katrina undertook the Goldman Sachs 10K Business Programme (10KSBUK), encouraging Damien to do the same a few years later. 

Our philosophies on client partnerships have always aligned. We both believe in acting as a seamless extension of our clients’ internal structure, often functioning as their in-house marketing team. 

With our shared values, it felt like the natural next step in our team merging together. In an ever-evolving marketing landscape, particularly with advancements such as AI, we recognised that now is the perfect moment to bring our skill sets under one roof.

What Does This Mean for our clients? 

This exciting merger will bring important internal changes, but we want to reassure our clients that there will be no disruption to ongoing or upcoming projects, and that your account managers and key points of contact will remain the same. You will receive the same service quality. 

Wild PR will introduce PR and communications services to Fishtank, with their expertise focused on digital and traditional PR solutions. Through targeted campaigns and creative storytelling, these services will support client objectives in brand building, awareness, and SEO. 

We’ll also be welcoming their ‘marketing-team-as-a-service’ offering, perfect for businesses looking for end-to-end marketing support or unsure of their exact needs.
